Welcome Spring!
Welcome Spring!!!
The Crocus are up and opening, the Hynaciths are peeking purple heads on dark green stems, the tulips are popping through.
Birds are flying here and there looking for nest building materials and the squirrels are running everyway!
I've seen the bugs beginning to stir and fly soon the worms will catch your eye.
It's been a long long winter but the sun is strong and the winds are blowing, the message is clear Springs' a coming!
Karen
this is the time of year where my creative juices start to flow and I find that I have so many projects and so many ideas and so little time that I start to overflow with emotions of never going to be able to get it all out!
I run the gamit of the joy of finishing projects, the anticipation of starting way more than I finish and the guilt of all that I still have to find time for!
May your first day of Spring be filled with the joys of sun, song, and great things.!

Refelections!
Today is a great day to refelect on the happenings around us!
the world appears to be falling apart around us, the news just tells of more layoffs, more wars, killings, and all the bad around us..........but yet the world keeps turning and the seasons are still changing. Soon Spring will be here and the world will be colorful and vibrant again. Despite a snowy winter here in New England, at least we can say other areas have had it much worse than we, the white refreshed snow fall at least adds a brightness we seem to need. As you continue to shovel and plow, take a moment to stop and look at the scene around you, the white freshly fallen snow, the birds singing in the trees getting ready to start nesting, the squirrels running to and fro looking for yet more food, bare in mind that below the snow the roots of the flowers are growing and strenghten waiting, waiting, waiting for Mother Nature to tell them it's time to bring their color into the world. The color of the new season will be here before we know it as each season seems to fly faster than the last! Enjoy today as you go through it and remember :: Tomorrow is a new adventure to be explored when it becomes today!

Leyburn socks in STR lightweight, Garnet Dreams colorway.

Pair 22 finally done. That took forever...or at least it seemed to. I don't quire recall when I started these and of course I forgot to write it down. The pattern is Lacy Mock Cable Socks. I had started a pair of plain toe up socks when I fell in love with the pattern after finishing a pair of socks for a friend in this pattern. The yarn is KnitPicks Felici in the Hummingbird colorway. Onward to pair 23 :)

New Year's Resolutions...

I think we are about halfway to 52 weeks and EEEKS!!! I am very far behind. I have some sock orphans...they have no mates. I am resolving to finish some of my UFO's. I have a sweater due to my LYS by Valentine's Day that is about long enough for a Barbie at this point. I have comitted to 20 minutes of knitting for Socks for Solciers. So here is my next pair for 52 PPII. I just gifted these to my friend, Cheryl. They are made with Galway on size 4 needles.
Back to knit a bit!

Pairs 4-15
Hmm... I guess I'm doing ok with the sock knitting but not too well with the posting.
While moving cross-country and since then I've knit a few pairs of socks - I'll post pictures of a couple but all of them are on my blog.
The socks that drove across the country with me:

The Kauni rainbow socks:

And some wedding socks for a friend:
