pairs 13 and 14

Finished a little christmas sock knitting. This pair is for my niece. Woman's size 10 Opal crocodile in browns and oranges.
And this pair is for my niece's hubby. DGB Confetti yarn in blue/black/white colorways. These are a men's size 10 xw foot. I had issues finding the repeat so I ended up doing the tops in maroon knitpicks. I love them.

Pair 15 finally finished. Well, they've been done for a while, but with all the Christmas knitting, I just didn't have time to take a pic and get it uploaded.

Pair #10.

Cascade Handpaint - wonderful yarn, great color! I used a not too fussy lace pattern and it looks great (IMHO) in this yarn.

I hope she likes them. More on that eventually.

9 down

I've finally posted picture of #9!!! ALthough these socks look goofy as heck color-way-wise (great grammar, eh?), they are really fun and always make me smile. Whether they'll actually be worn by their recipient...

Pair #26 Completed

I used my own Bella Catena Italiana pattern, modified the heel to incorporate ribbing, and modified the foot to ribbing as well. The yarn is Shibui Sock in Kiwi, knit on 2.00 mm needles.

Pairs #18, 19, 20, and 21 Completed

Well, I haven’t quit knitting socks… . though I haven’t posted in a while. I took a 2-week break from socks during August to knit Marnie MacLean’s Lily sweater, which I purchased from Twist Collective, and it turned out great! During September, I’ve finished four pairs of socks –

Pair #18 (below, right knit from Tausendschon sock yarn in Sommerlavendel and my own design on 2.25 mm needles)
and Pair #19 (below, left knit from Wollmeise sock yarn in Pfauenauge/dark intensity in the same design as pair #18 on 2.25 mm needles)

18 and 19 finished-1

Pair #20 (knit from Dream in Color Smooshy in Lipstick Lava and my own design on 2.25 mm needles for ladies 10” foot)

Beauty Queen-1

Pair #21 (knit from Elann.com Superwash Worsted in Canton Teal, remnants from my Lily sweater, on 4.50 mm needles sized to fit an infant)

Cookie A Class Sock-1

And I have Pair #22 (also my own design, in Shibui Sock in Kiwi and knit on 2.0 mm needles) cast on and knit this far:

Socks 2 - 6

The last post was my first not really sure what I was doing.  My first pair of socks were for my son Connor and were knit using Trekking XXL 376.  Pair number 2 are also for Connor and knit using Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock in the Amish colourway - the last pair I can knit for Connor out of just one skein of LLSS.  Pair number 3 are for a little friend who turned one recently, knit using Regia 4ply 5441.  Pairs 4 - 6 are 16 sts sock bookmarks knit (from L to R) Lorna Laces Shepherd Sock - Get Knitted (exclusive colourway 2005?), - Vera and Cherry Tree Hill Super Sock - Chamlain Sunset.  See you next week with more completed socks!

Sock #21 Completed

Completed last pair of socks for Ravelympics.
This is my 21st pair for 52PPii 2008
Now I am going to slow down a bit.
They are a pattern of mine called Cables around.
I only do the leg part as my feet don't like lumps on the feet.

pair 1 through 12

I'm so behind in finishing stuff but I devoted the whole month of August to completeing everything. Here are socks 1 through 8 which will be donated to charity.
And pairs 9 through 12 are also done.
The blue pair is a child's size 13, the green pair is a child's size 10, and the two pink pair are a child's size 6. I made them for my grandkids who just love gram-made socks.
