Madmoon's progress

Socks

I finished my first pair for the plunge. I started yesterday and just finished. I used Wool-Ease by Lion Brand. My husband loves socks made from this yarn. Now I can concentrate on some sock wips.

These are great! I do have one quick question as I'm new to sock knitting and have only used sock yarn....what size needles did you use and how many stitches did you cast on?

Very nice socks...love the toe and heel...what pattern did you use please? My first pair for the plunge are VERY BASIC in Plymouth's encore on a size 4 needle. Have just gotten to the heel flap. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you for the kind comments. They were knitted on size 8 needles and I cast on a total of 40 stitches. I work toe up so I started with 20 on a provisional caston then picked up the live stitches when I got back around to them. The pattern is a culmination of several patterns and modifications thrown together. I started with the toe up from Knitty.com and went from there :)
