First pair completed!

I finished pair #1 today. They are child socks in roughly youth size 1. I plan to knit up a lot of these in assorted child sizes and save them for the next Afghans for Afghans child campaign. The socks were knit from some of my oldest stash, Brunswick Germantown worsted in Penobscot Blue Heather, using #6 needles. The pattern is plain vanilla toe up stockinette with garter stitch short row heel. I would like to make some future pairs with contrasting toes, heels, and cuffs to make them look a little more interesting.

Those are nice.
I am planning the same thing, make a lot of kids socks in warm yarns for A4A.

Maybe we could mobilize the group to get a nice big number of socks out to them?
